TREND ALERT - KEYS AND KEYHOLE

A very particular trend shown during the aw 2009-2010 fashion shows, specially on D&G and Alexander McQueen catwalks: accessories with keys or keyholes. Bags and shoes, but also charms on necklaces and bracelets by Tiffany & Co.



Here some other items: D&G accessories and Juicy Couture or Fossil jewels.

TREND ALERT - POLKA TIGHTS

Flicking trought the pages of an old fashion magazines (Grazia - Italiy - september 2001) I've noticed this picture from the Louis Vuitton autumn-winter 2001-2002 ad campaign. Those polka dot tights have attracted my attention because similar items have been showed during the autumn-winter 2009-2010 fashion shows on the catwalks by many fashion designer, such as Balenciaga, Emanuel Ungaro and Ruffian.







Polka dot in black ton sur ton, silver on black or on colours. But this trend hs obained also a certain popularity to the new fashion icon all over the world: the fashion bloggers. Cherry Blossom has weared polka dot and little hearts tights (Tabio) in some pictures on her blog, showing a particular 80's mood. My Daily Style shows little dots tights (Wolford) in a retrò-chic outfit and the italian L'arma(dio) del delitto shows other little dots (Zara).







So this fashion trend has come back. Do you like it?

AW 09-10 - LIKE A PEACOCK

After the peacock print that we saw during the last spring in Matthew Williamson for H&M collection, in this autumn-winter 2009-2010 fashion show some designer presented items with this particular pattern: Giambattista Valli, Cynthia Steffe, Milly by Michelle Smith.






You can wear a mini- or a long peacock printed dress with plain accessories or just some peacock accessories (shoes, bags and jewels) with plain clothing to give a touch of this particular style to your mise. I love these outfits in gold and black and in turquoise. And you?

AW 09-10 - FRANCESINE

Brogues trend (well known as "francesine" in italian) is still one my favourite shoes trend for this autumn-winter 2009-2010. I love them both classic and open-toe, black and coloured but always laced-up and with 12cm heels. They are perfect in every occasion with mini-dresses or skinny jeans.

AW 09-10 - BAROQUE PRINCESS

Clothing and accessories in Baroque or Renaissance style: this is one of the most particular trend for this autumn-winter 2009-2010. Drapery, loose sleeves, gold arabesques and frills on dresses made in plush fabrics, such as brocade and damask, to become a princess just for a day.

Another of my favourite trend for this season is macro jewels. Specially necklaces. You can find them in many different styles (trendy, chic, rock, art&craft) in many shops, such as Banana Republic, French Connection, Monsoon, H&M, Primark but also by luxury brands as Marni, Vera Wang and Lanvin.

AW 09-10 - RED

Another one of my favourite trend and sure a must for this autumn-winter 2009-2010 is red. It can light up the usual autumn colours and make more sensual every outfit: a trench coat, a mini- or a cocktail-dress, but also just a pair of shoes, a bag or some jewels to give a trace of warmth.
On catwalk we have seen that designers have proposed many different items in red: rock dresses by Miss Sixty,  sexy by Seduzioni Diamonds, chic by Zac Posen and Costume National and the fashionable collection by Versace.

AW 09-10 - BLUE

One of my favourite trend for autumn-winter 2009-2010 is blue.
On catwalks many designers have shown items using every beautiful shades of this colour: midnight, cobalt, navy, electric and dark blue. And it can be used in every kind of occasion. It is suitable to wear by night in very chic and elegant outfits, but it adapt also to the day in very unpretentious mise.




Some outfits with cheeper items, some proposals to re-create the catwalks' look.
